宮崎県延岡市発祥の名物料理「チキン南蛮」を食べようと、JR延岡駅に立ち寄ったブレア（豪州）とエリン（米国）。
しばらく駅前の観光案内マップとにらめっこしたものの、どこへ行けば美味しい「チキン南蛮」が食べられるかわからず、結局観光案内所に駆け込むことに。
ところが延岡に到着した時刻が早すぎて、どこのレストランもオープン前であることが案内係から告げられる……。
しかしそれがきっかけとなり、彼らは延岡の歴史や文化に深く触れ、思いもよらぬ体験をすることになる。
