His inner monologues and overly self awareness were great and funny. I would think that some of us would become like that as we get older as well, it touched on a lot of small encounters in life that get easily overlooked by all the bling and shine in the world. Enjoying a meal, whether alone, with friends, or even in the presence of strangers, is something to be cherished, its one of many things that binds us all, the need to eat!
I personally preferred this over many other shows.
